Sunny and Chili are from the planet ReZolut, which is very very far away from Planet Earth but very similar in many ways.

The climate is warm and then cold at different times. There are plants and animals, and there is daily conflict.

On ReZolut, just like on Earth, conflict is normal and natural. When a Swashabout gets hungry he looks for a Gurrbee and that causes conflict for the Gurrbee!

The citizens of Planet ReZolut are called ReZolutions. And because each ReZolution is unique and different, there is conflict all the time.

One difference between Planet ReZolut and Planet Earth is that on ReZolut, the ReZolutions must solve their conflicts effectively and non-violently or they shrink. When they shrink their problems get bigger.

When ReZolutions are in conflict, their hearts beat faster and make their hands and feet tickle. If they want to stop the tickle, they can plug their emotions into their brains. This allows their minds to focus on solving the problem. Their ears begin to listen better. Their eyes begin to see different points of view and their brains can then think of ways to make the situation better or solve the conflict.

If ReZolutions are mean to each other the emotions in their bodies create a burst of energy that you can actually see! If they don't solve their conflicts effectively and non-violently the heat from this emotional energy causes the ReZolutions to get smaller. In other words, they shrink!

When ReZolutions shrink, their problems get bigger because all of the food they eat is found high up in the poletops, which are like the trees found on earth. ReZolutions who aren't good at solving their conflicts shrink, and then they can't reach their food. So, they get hungry.

Sunny and Chili are brother and sister, and they weren't very good at solving their conflicts effectively. They were even violent sometimes. They would call each other names. Chili liked to tell secrets that would embarrass Sunny. And sometimes Sunny would sit on Chili until Chili would feel flat! So, they started to get smaller and smaller.

As Sunny and Chili got smaller and smaller, they got hungrier and hungrier, because they couldn't reach their food on the poletops. They got scared and didn't know what to do. They wanted to get bigger fast.

They asked their Planet's Wise Counsel what they should do. The Wise Counsel told Sunny and Chili that they would have to travel to a distant place and help others who are small to learn and grow in the ways of ReZolut. Then, and only then, could Sunny and Chili regain their height and live on ReZolut.

So, the two ReZolutions loaded their space ship up with tools from their planet and came to earth to teach Earthlings to solve their conflicts effectively and non-violently.

When the ship from ReZolut landed on earth, it landed in a swamp.

The doors to the vessel opened and there on the ground was a creature with scales, claws, a long snout, long tail and big teeth! Sunny and Chili wondered if this creature was a Swashabout like the ones on Planet ReZolut. They checked their Earth Connector (a high-tech dictionary) and saw that on Earth the Swashabout is called an Alligator!

When the creature snapped its jaws Sunny and Chili looked at each other and agreed it was definitely a Swashabout, um, an alligator.

"It's good to know they have these alligator creatures on Earth," Chili said.
"It's good we found out while we're in our space ship", said Sunny.
"That's true because we know that everything Swashabouts and alligators do is for survival. They can't think or make decisions like we do. They just REACT to their environment," said Chili.

And then, at the same time, Sunny and Chili looked at each other and both said, "Ah ha!" "We have to teach Earthlings to use their Thinking Brains instead of their Alligator Brains!"

"That's right," said Chili. "Earthlings and ReZolutions can think about what's happening now, what happened in the past and what might happen in the future. We can make decisions about what we do!"

We can think about different points of view, how things relate to other things and they can make decisions. Humans and ReZolutions can RESPOND to situations!

Sunny and Chili decided to use their thinking brains. They went back into their space ship and waited until the alligator was asleep. Then they snuck out and began to take their first steps on Earth.

From that day on Sunny and Chili have been meeting Earthlings of all different sizes. They have been teaching their new friends how to use their Thinking Brains not their Alligator Brains to solve their conflicts without being mean or using violence.

Sunny and Chili have begun to grow again but they're having so much fun on Earth they decided to ask their planet's Wise Counsel if they could stay on Earth.

ReZolut's Wise Counsel told Sunny and Chili that they can go back and forth between Planet ReZolut and Planet Earth whenever they want.

Now they share with friends from both planets their stories and adventures about learning how to effectively and non-violently solve conflicts.
