What Adults Say

"Two first-graders were brought to my office after fighting in the bathroom. I asked them how they were going to solve their problem, and they said they could use the computer. They worked through the Let's Get Together™ process using the software. They helped each other and solved their conflict. At the end, I watched them shake hands. It was great!"
Principal (former) Janice C., Groveport-Madison Schools

"As I notice students are at odds with in my classroom, I refer them to Let's Get Together™, sometimes in the classroom, sometimes with the counselor. I was skeptical, but the kids really solve their conflicts with this software!"
Charles E., 5th grade teacher, Marysville City Schools

"The Let's Get Together training, the process and the support materials teach adults a concrete way to make decisions and manage conflict as they move through change. The software teaches the same information to students in a way that works for them."
Principal Kathleen L., Columbus Public Schools

"I recommend the Let's Get Together software as an effective and practical tool for; teaching students how to solve their own conflicts, building students' capacity for understanding different perspectives and problem-solving, decreasing the time teachers and principals spend intervening in student conflicts."
Principal Jeannie R., Jefferson Local Schools

...In a recent publication by the Justice Department's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, four approaches to conflict resolution identification were identified. Your software seems to address all four of these areas.

The U.S. Attorney's Office encourages efforts which have demonstrated the potential to reduce violence, especially violent behavior by young people. WinWin, Inc.'s work with our office on the development of a plan for violence prevention has been crucial to that strategy's success. I look forward to our continued cooperative efforts.

State of Ohio Department of Education

The Ohio Department of Education, Division of Special Education initiated a pilot using the "Let's Get Together" process and the "Let's Get Together" conflict resolution software for students in four school sites.

In my opinion, the "Let's Get Together" process, training and software greatly assisted the pilot schools in reaching their individual goals in such areas as student intervention, continuous improvement planning, site based management decision-making, discipline procedures, curriculum and instruction changes. The process developed skills which staff successfully applied to a wide variety of decisions and problems faced day to day. Of the more than one thousand students involved in the pilot, 96% of the students sampled solved their conflicts using the "Let's Get Together" software. Students who were frequently sent to the office for discipline, requested to use the "Let's Get Together" software. Ninety-four percent of these students solved their conflicts and required no further intervention. It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend "Let's Get Together" to schools that are invested in improvement.

What the Administrators and Teachers say:

"I would recommend the Let's Get Together software as an effective and practical tool for:

  • Teaching students how to solve their own conflicts
  • Building students' capacity for understanding different perspectives and problem-solving
  • Decreasing the time teachers spend intervening in student conflicts.
  • Sunny and Chili are becoming part of the culture of our school.
  • The software is decreasing the escalation of conflict and the intensity of violent behaviors
  • Students who use the software to resolve their conflicts do not repeat the same conflict with the same other person.
  • The software is increasing students' confidence in their ability to solve their conflicts with others.
  • Students are learning that people have different perspectives.
  • Students' disciplinary referrals are decreasing.

"I used to spend about 85% of my time handling student conflicts that resulted from recess and unstructured time. Now our kids are able to solve those conflicts independent of adult supervision with the Sunny and Chili software. I now spend my time focusing on pro-active measures that have positive impact on our school climate,"
Jeannie R., principal

"Let's Get Together is special! Sunny and Chili provide a safe, positive and respectful environment for the children to listen to each other and participate in generating possible solutions to their conflict. I've observed children using the software and I found their transformation fascinating and exciting. When they begin the (software) program their body language almost always indicates their intense emotions and mistrust. Then the children are interacting with Sunny and Chili and helping each other! Their anger, frustration and fear is de-escalated and they begin to thoughtfully problem solve."
Don C., Program Director, Professional Practices, College of Education, The Ohio State University

What More Teachers and Counselors Say

"I feel fortunate to have the Let's Get Together conflict resolution software at my finger tips in my classroom. The software is the best tool I have to address the conflict that flares up while I'm taking attendance or busy doing something else, the conflict that happens when I'm not around or in cases where the students would rather not or cannot problem solve in my presence. The students can go to the computer and work to solve their conflict independently."
Jan S., 2nd grade teacher

"Let's Get Together has become an important part of my classroom management. Sunny and Chili make the academic skills I'm teaching relevant and fun."
Sherry B. 4th grade teacher, Trotwood City Schools

"This program empowers kids to solve their conflicts themselves. It quickly de-escalates their emotions so that they can focus on solving their problems. It's great!"
Gwen W., Counselor
